Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb.
First of all, let us thank to Allah SWT, The God Almighty, for it is with His blessing and mercy that we can hold the International Visual Culture Exhibition (IVCE #3), with a theme of Virtualization Movement a Virtual Exhibition from October 28th to November 29th 2020. This is the third year for IVCE, and the participants have been increasing each year. Let us hope that this year’s event runs well and brings benefits to all participants and the society in general.
The current IVCE #3 involves 141 artists that consist of: 46 foreign artists from 19 countries (USA, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Iran, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapura, Philippines, and Vietnam), and 95 artists from Indonesia.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ICVE exhibition is held on a virtual platform. This virtual exhibition is an exciting choice to visit and should be appreciated during this time of the pandemic. In addition to the individual participants, almost all of Indonesian Universities that are engaged in arts are sending their representatives to participate in the IVCE #3 event such as FSRD ISI Padang Panjang, FSRD Trisakti Jakarta, FSRD ITB, FSR ISI Yogyakarta, FSRD ISI Surakarta, FSRD ISI Denpasar, and of course FSRD UNS as the organizing committee.
This event is supported by many parties, and therefore, we would like to express our gratitude to Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH, M.Hum. as the Rector of UNS who has been so enthusiastic in supporting this event. We would also like to thank and give the best appreciation to all participants and the committee who have worked so hard to make this event possible. And on this occasion, we would like to invite Mr. Jamal Wiwoho to officially open the IVCE #3 event.
That was all of my welcome speech today. I wish you a great exhibition. May this year’s ICVE be successful and beneficial for all of us, and hopefully I will see you again on the next ICVE #4 in 2021.
Wassalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.
